Interstate Panel Co. provides a robust line of architectural infill panels designed to be glazed into exterior or interior facades, captured on all four sides. The panels can be configured with multiple finish, stabilizer, and core options to meet specific aesthetic and thermal project requirements. All substrate materials are adhered together with a thermoset Polyurethane PUR reactive hot melt adhesive for exceptional strength and flatness.

At a Glance

Versatile Component Options

Customers can configure panels using either Tempered Hardboard (HDBD) for impact resistance or High Density Polypropylene (HDPP) for a lightweight structure with zero moisture absorption. Core insulation is available in standard Expanded Polystyrene (EPS) or Polyisocyanurate (ISO) for improved thermal performance. Exterior skins include smooth or embossed aluminum in a variety of anodized or painted finishes, as well as silicone-coated spandrel glass.

Key Considerations

Installation and Glazing Requirements

Interstate panels require a minimum of 1/4" of clearance around the entire perimeter and must be supported by compatible flexible setting blocks at the quarter points. Mechanical fasteners must not be used through the panel face to prevent "blistering" from thermal expansion, and butt glazing is not recommended. To ensure proper performance and maintain warranties, the glazing cavity must be effectively weeped to prevent water accumulation.

What to Know

Warranties and Performance Standards

Interstate panels carry an ASTM E84 Class A rating and are backed by a 5-year warranty on materials and workmanship against delamination. Finish warranties provide 2 years of coverage for anodized surfaces and 20 years for AAMA 2605 painted coil coats. While 5-ply and glass-clad insulated panels are designed for standard 1” glazing pockets, custom insulated panels are available in thicknesses up to 4”.
